So, i want to get a new computer to game on (WoW, CS, maybe Oblivion if i feel like buying it) and i need something that wouldnt be too expensive for my budget (probably 1500-2000 AUD, would like to be in the lower end though). This is what im thinking of: Coolermast Ammo 533 No PSU - $99 Lite-on DVD Burner - $49 Seagate 250gb 7200rpm - $119 OCZ 2x1 gb kit PC2-5400 - $289 Acer 22" LCD Widescreen 5ms gtg - $439 Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 - $325 MSI P965-P - $199 Antec 500w PSU - $139 Logitech G15 Keyboard and G3 Laser Mouse - $174 Total Cost: $1832 3 things: a)I know i dont have a graphics card in here, i am not sure on which one to get. b)Is there anything overkill in this system? c)I want to be able to play WoW at high res with the 22" lcd (is this too big though for my budget?), am i able to do this? Thanks in advance, Zac.
for the graphics card id recommend trying to get an 8800gts 640mb, id ditch the acer monitor its been shown as crap in reviews id say try samsung 226bw, and id switch the motherboard for p5n-e sli,
Yeah, i think this is all a little over-budget =S /sigh, i dont know anymore lol... anyone want to recommend me a decent system?
Well over here, a good system for ~1600AUD (based on UK prices, then converted) would be: E6300 (~230 AUD) Cheap 2GB 6400 RAM (~220AUD) Asus P5N-E SLi (~180AUD) Coolermaster Ammo 533 - (100AUD) Lite-on DVD Burner - (50AUD) Seagate 250gb 7200rpm - (120AUD) Tagan TG480-U01 (~140AUD) 8800GTS 320MB (~450AUD Add monitor, keyboard and mouse to that, you're onto a winner. I'd recommend not spending such a silly amount on a keyboard and mouse set as that, they're not worth it imho, buy a good mouse, then a respectable keyboard for ~£15 and it's 95% as good as a G15.
screw the original antec psu; it's probubly the smartpower, which isn't too hot. Tagan.. I'll refrain from commenting. http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/index...uspcmarket.com.au/show_product_info.php?input[product_code]=PS-ST50EF&input[category_id]=1326 is the BEST psu in that price range. End of story.
