help on new cpu and memory

    i am building my own computer and don't know what memory adn cpu to get


    i have a Asus Skt AM2 M2 Crosshair mobo

    adn i would like to know what would be the best memory and cpu for me
    i would like a quite high speed dule core prosessor (AM2)
    and good enough memory to run vista or xp whitch i will choose later

    The Athlon 6000+ is a pretty good processor for AM2 sockets.

    Get at least 2GB of memory and if you plan to get Vista, get 4GB or RAM and buy a 64-bit version of Vista.

    i already have the graphics card lol

    kk will the 6000+ be compatible with my mobo and wa type of memory should i get?

    Actually, I'm not sure if the CPU is compatible with the mobo... :lol: But I think it should work.

    DDR2 should be the memory for you to buy.

    get AM2+ board.

    Get the newer AMD X2 6000+ cooler version.
