It's been a while since I've bought anything hardware related (years in fact) other than a superb 256gb M4 SSD a few months back, but my PC now seems to have keeled over. It just hangs, often wont shift from the splash screen (see below) When I can get it to go into bios this screen comes up in basic cmos settings: Which is interesting, see the weird characters in the top left of the screen and a definite lack of hard drive on channel 0 - not normal!! I've taken the cmos battery out and reloaded previous stable versions of bios, but the best I can now manage is What's the verdict? Shot? Which bit is broken? Should I buy a new system?? Cheers in advance!
Connect the hard drive to the same channel as the plextor and see if it detects the hard drive, if not I'm guessing dead drive. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
