I've recently sold my 19" Widescreen TFT monitor as I've upgraded to a Viewsonic 22" and I'm going to be sending the buyer the 19" monitor today, can someone please let me know how I should pack the monitor to ensure it won't get damaged in any way, I will be sending it by Royal Mail Special Delivery so it will be insured I just don't want to risk it getting damaged before the buyer receives it so I want to ensure it's well packed before I send it :)

    Cheers

I highly suggest the original packing material - if you still have it. If not use the box from the new monitor. If your overly worried about just one box, overbox the other with a larger one too. Granted this will greatly increase your shipping costs I imagine.

I always thought they charged by weight and not size

USPS will charge more for a larger box, even if the weight is the same. It makes sense really cause the bugger is taking up more space. I dont know how that would work in the UK, but I would imagine it would be about the same.
