With that amount of money, you wanna go Quad-Sli, out next month, how easily it will be to get hold of is a question, but I think it's goingto be exactlylike the 512MB 7800GTX, or worse .
But as soon as DX10 is out all four of those cards will start to age drasticly but if your after the best tech atm Quad Sli will be the way to go.
im with sgoaty on this. spend 2 grand now on a top machine then save the other £4,000 until vista/dx10.
Not unless theres DX10 enabled quad-sli! Which I would expect to come out sometime after Vista comes out. Right now I think quad-sli is only for bragging rights, there isn't a huge benefit from actually having it!
But will these Quad sli capable cards (that come out in march) support DX10, I think not,(Correct me if i'm wrong) they will be forced to run DX9 so once games start to use DX10 these cards will become partly obsolite.
What I actually meant was that sometime later, there will eventually be DX10 enabled quad-sli cards. I was not referring to the 7900 series that is being released next month. Sorry if I mislead you into thinking I was talking about the 7900 series!
I see, no worries MWW In thats case I'd have to agree with you, even though I think nVidia has lost it...
