a Replacement Glass top for my fish tank is to shipped by My Hermies.... this is going to be a laugh anyone want to bet cash on it arriving in one piece ?
Can I hedge and bet that one piece will arrive? Not saying which piece or where it will arrive, mind you.
Having read the reviews for Hermes the other day I am simply astounded that they are allowed to remain in business tbh.
We are having similar fun here. Had a document shipped 'extreme priority overnight' from one side of Houston to the other. UPS flew it to their hub in Kentucky...
I would add Royal mail to that list as well. To be fair Hermes they have delivered every time for me, unlike Royal mail..
I've been using DX recently. Last parcel I sent was £9 plus £13 in insurance. This one? was £4 in insurance for more value. So I think they have had a think about it. My flat insurance costs me less. I also paid £9 insurance on top of Spermes £7 for a £80 parcel that was stolen by a driver and I got nothing in return. They sent me a dead link, then paused and stuttered before gleefully telling me I was getting nothing because I had left it too long.
i know this is a Hermes thread but a DHL driver left a parcel in our back yard, address was miles away from me and not even the same county or postcode but same name of street in the rain on Thursday it had a document pouch stuck on the out side which i opened it listed gear inside which was priced at just under £5k called the well known retailer number and spoke to someone who kept asking me if am i sure its not mine a billion times the repeatedly putting me on hold . honestly it was a huge headache trying to get them to get DHL to comeback and pick up the parcel back, damn shame the person who ordered it dint have an email or phone number listed on the receipt i would have loved to call him and send him cctv footage of the driver leaving it the pouring rain. he prolly wast not happy to have a very badly water damaged box of goodies
Still by far hate Hermes. Always super long delays and its pretty impossible to contact them ever. So i avoid at every turn. Royal mail been spot on, as has a few others, dpd seem to not be able to find houses in my scheme tho, which resulted in me having to get there app, take a pic of my house, and a pic of my safe place, and allow location services so they knew exactly where it was
Sigh . Yet another one. Don't think I have ever got a Hermes parcel on time https://imgur.com/a/VdxByMF
Fellas you wont believe this, i actually got a response from hermes !!! (Wonder if it will go anywhere and if ill get my battery this time or not)
I know this thread was about Hermes, but they're not the only ones that really suck. The other half had this text message earlier: 'sender parcel'.... Looks like a total scam so I told her to ignore it. Nope, turns out it was genuine because we came home to more DHL shenanigans: That's it. Nothing to tell me where the parcels are, or what we need to do next... Nada. Zip. I managed to arrange re-delivery, but the least the guy can do is tick some f'ing boxes on a bit of paper.
As an aside, don't think we'll do old school Christmas cards again. Sent well before the deadline in December European ones reached friends at that start of January and friends in Aus (different states) got them just recently. Kiwi friends - some have just got them, others not.
