    hi all,

looking to purchase a creative xtrememusic - x/fi card.

I want to use the front panel connectors to extend the output and microphone connectors. But i want to know if there is a mute switch to mute the rear speakers or i just extend them and its all done automatically for me by the card/software?

Has anyone done this or could create a guide/give me some help :)

    Hope this all makes sense!

thanks but kinda not what im chasing, its easy to get one of those switching sockets - i have an external box that i use now for my speakers and headphones but Im wanting to use the sockets on the inside of a sound card to do it all.

Just not sure if its as easy as hooking it up to the pin headers or if there is a mute switch for the rear of the card too.

    Cheers
    Paul
