    Hey all,

looking for recommendations on my new home network. I have nothing here currently.

I need to be able to:
    - run 2 networks
    - have policy based routing available
    - have site to site vpns available
    - be able to get gigabit (or near that) to a room behind the router location. No holes can be drilled this time
    - have good Wi-Fi coverage

    what I have:
Gigabit internet (which could go up to 10GBE if needed)

    budget: up to 1k

    what have I looked at:
    - UniFi: no policy based routing, stock is terrible
    - tp link omada, has policy based routing but unsure on the get a cable into another room part (maybe power line?)

basically I’m in another country, have a UniFi setup in the uk I want to do site to site to and have 2 Wi-Fi networks one local one uk, with the uk one forcing all traffic through the vpn

if a floor plan is useful let me know

thanks for your help as always bittech

Teeeechnically you can do policy based routing from the command line on a USG Pro, and it's also coming to the whole lineup Unifi Network 7.x

But still don't. Because as I'm sure you're aware, Ubiquiti's track record of delivery on "coming soon" isn't stellar, and the USG pro isn't up to 1Gb WAN with IPS/IDS enabled let alone 10Gb. So, just for info.

Yep that’s one I was already aware of.

on chatting with a friend I might just go get a rpi to sit as a middle man/default gateway and force everything up the vpn using that.
While pfsense might work getting the hardware could be a pain
