So true, I'm still running a 6800GT, it was fine on the 17" I had before the 24" widescreen; but now I have to turn down some settings to have the newer
    games run smoothly. =D

    I'm actually surprised more people don't have a 20" wide! Are most people's 19" 1280x1024 still! :eeek:

Mine is. I'd love to upgrade to a VX2025 or a 2007 ect. but it doesn't represent good value for money as my VX922 is only a tiny bit smaller. I think most people would only upgrade to a moniter that is properly bigger, which is why I think 24" is so popular.

Also, my X800 won't play most things on a moniter anybigger than a 19"

Bindi, what sort of screen/s do you have?

    45" (3*VX922 monitors on TH2G) :D

ok I know it's cheating as it's 3 monitors and not one but you don't notice the bezel between monitors and to be honest I am so used to having 3 screens that I won't go back to one again(I had to for a week when my TH2G died one week shy of a year, got replaced for free :hip: )

As posted earlier, this isn't a competition, this is an effort to get meaningful statistics. "cheating", as you say, isn't helping anyone.

I'm using a Westinghouse 37" as my main monitor for my PC. Might seem too large but the way I have my room setup it works out very well. I also use it for all my consoles and DVD watching, but it is the primary screen for my PC.

    3x 15" = 45"? 3x 19" = 57"

They must have damned big bezels, if you've 'only' got 45" of screen to play with?

    don't forget a 19" is a diagonal size

so if you have 3x19" the diagonal isn't 3x19"

a wise man has spoken :hip:

hazardous, since I am not at home I had to work it out from first principles
    (X*X)+(Y*Y)=(Z*Z)
X being screen width and Y being screen height and Z being diagonal
first time I got it wrong as I forgot height was the same and I ended up with 55" and not 45" :D

    17" + 14" at the moment, I'll upgrade to 3x20" wide eventually.

A bit late to this thread, just back from A2s. Using a 19" Iiyama atm, bought back in the day where 19" TFTs cost £500+... Damn, the response time is a bit of a joke, the viewing angles are rubbish, the brightness needs to be jacked up to 90+% for normal use... but hell, it's got portrait mode! Beauty!

    1) Welcome to the forums Commodore

    2) Holy thread resurrection Batman (If I didn't say it someone else would)

    3) I always thought this thread should have also have had a resolution component since most WS TVs have lower resolution than much smaller monitors, and projectors are even worse.
