I'm looking to a fast way to unlock my mobile.
It's O2 locked, I transferred my number to new phone and to do it via O2 it would take 7 days.
I need to do it quicker - what is best way to do it?

Well if its an iPhone you have to do it through 02 anyway. I had to wait 2 months for EE to unlock my old iPhone 5!. Avoid sites like this at all costs as they are scams....

Conned me out of £19.99 :sigh:

In my experience the best way to unlock a phone is to do it through official channels. I've had great success unlocking phones by jailbreaking and hacking etc., but in the long run it's far less hassle just to do it properly.

Any reason you bought a phone locked to the wrong network?!

This is my old O2 phone, just bought a new in O2.
Now I sold old one. Last week O2 transferred my number to new sim, I requested unlocking old phone.
Now I got email after 5 days that they cannot do it. I spoke with them today and they told me that I need to keep active O2 sim in the old phone to make unlocking process work....
I obviously been using new one and packed the old one to be sold. Now I sold it on ebay and need to send it in 3 days, but now those f***rs from O2 saying that they forgot to tell me that I need to keep old one on... motherf***... I totally lost it...

    Feeling confident?
    (Usual disclaimers apply here...)

An option is to find a stock S4 image and flash it.
The hardest part is identifying the appropriate image (there are usually several for the various regions).

Very easy process on every Android device I've done it on (3 Sensations, OPO and a Nexus 10).
    Takes an hour at most.
XDA-dev will probably have everything you need to do it, including rock solid guides and links to the images.

    Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282683
All done via Service Mode, just don't change anything else....

Failing that, get a sim adapter and put the new sim back in the old phone and have O2 do it for you (I'm assuming the new phone has a smaller SIM than the S4??).

I've had success buying unlock codes off of ebay.
I've unlocked an S3 and a couple of Moto Gs that way. The Moto Gs were only about the £2 each and the S3 was a fair bit more, but all were quick and substantially cheaper that doing it through the network.
I figure since it's through eBay/paypay you have buyer protection and reviews should be pretty helpful to tell if it works, as long as you're very careful to buy the appropriate code for your model of phone.
