How do i tell what week number my 2500+ is?

    Is there a way of finsidn what week my 2500 is without looking on the chip (i.e software wise). I want to unlock it, but i am not gona bother if it is not unlockable.

    nope, unfortunately you can't without looking at the sticker on the core :)

    Oh bugger, my heatsink is a bitch to remove. Might get a new one thogh and look when i change them over.

    What motherboard do you have? and when did you get the cpu, they might give an indication of what week you have...
    (say mobo becasue the chips are unlocked for all mobos up to 12.5* if the multi cant be changed and the board would normally allow it, it may suggest the chip is superlocked....)

    Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-7VA i think (cba to check) and around about 1 week after autumn half term, so about 10 weeks ago.
