My recent adventure with broken Asus Hero just remind me that neither EZ-Flash nor USB BIOS Flashback will flash the ME section of the UEFI.
Despite the fact I'd rather avoid to flash the bios under Windows it does seem to be the only option to get all the important futures updated.

How do you guys flash your motherboards nowadays?
    EDIT:
    *(multiple choice poll)
**(by EZ-Flash I mean a flash utility built in the BIOS/UEFI)

Myself I have not been using a bootable USB stick with additional flash software for years.
The USB UEFI BIOS Flashback button to flash the bios without the cpu and ram I have tried once or two just out of curiosity.
I do mainly rely on EZ-Flash utility built in UEFI, but it looks that I may need to change my habit to Windows updater wherever it is possible.

FAT32 formatted USB stick and then enter the UEFI BIOS UPDATE section and let it do its thing!
