i want to get rid of some of the clutter in my case, mainly my bulky x-connect wires. I was wondering if i can saftly run 4 80mm case fans and 1 60mm secondary cpu fan off one line. I plan to just build a power router for those 5 fans that connects to one power line from the PSU. Thanks for your time.
as long as you are talking about a molex line and not a motherboard header then it will be fine. you can draw something like 40 amps over PSU wire (although you prob wont have 40 amps on the rail). as long as you make a decent breakout box for the "power router" it will work just fine.
