I usually leave it on for anywhere between 6-12 hours. Never had stability issues after it's been tested for that lond using Prime95 Blend.

I personally run it for 30 minutes - an hour, as it's such a demanding test anything is usually found at that stage.

so how now my default cpu multiplier and base clock frequency is20x133mhz=2.6666ghz

so what frequency shld i set to get 3.7ghz?

    3.7 / 20 = 0.185 so 185MHz.

3.7GHz is quite a safe bet with the i5 750 (that IS your cpu right?) so you should be able to jump straight to it without much difficulty. But once you get to the higher frequencies it would be a good ifea to move up incrementally e.g. 0.1GHz at a time.

yep....i have a two threads consulting you guys which cpu cooler and best cooling airflow

    thanks you guys!

    ok....what about the motherboard frequency's?

guys....i did a 1st try on overclocking on my desktop and came to found out that 1 of the cores would fail in the belnd test on prime95 just 1min after the test started....:wallbash:
here is my settings on the board

can some1 giv me some comments on my settings....as for the ram settings....the prime95 error seems to be related with the memory......to let you guys know...i'm using two sticks of single channel ram..

up CPU voltage. that is VCORE Over Voltage value.

PLL doesn't need to be that high. i know that 1.9v is enough for anything below Bclk 200MHz.

you should go up in small increments till the system is stabalised on the test. dont just jump 0.3 vcore do it as 0.1 or less if avail and keep going up small thats the best way to overclock

step by step not just one massive start up point. if you 100% know what your doing you can do the massive jumps but i certainly would not recomend it.

drop ppl to 1.7 or below.

frequency for 3.7ghz is 185 id go 180 make sure it boots and is stable then go up the remaining increments slow and steady makes cpu happy ( not true at all but its safer for new people)

means turning up the multiplier? 21x180?
means i turn up the vore voltage on 0.01 basis?
ok i'll drop the pll to 1.7

what CPU cooler have you got? what case have you got? what temperature are you getting while Prime is running?

what is your memory rated to run at?

feels like guess work without your full system spec.

    here is my system spec
    cm silent pro 700W
Thermalright Venomous-X with 2000rpm thermalright silent fan
    intel core i5-750
    2x2 kingston ddr3 1333mhz single channel memory
    asus p7p55-m
    2x320gb wd caviar blue
    gigabyte geforce gts 250

when prime95 runs my cpu will go up to 60c highest

    ok, try these:
    -180 * 20 = 3.6GHz
-VCore up 0.075v to 0.1v but lower it if temperature goes higher than 80c during Prime testing
-memory at 1440MHz, with same timing of 9-9-9-24. or 1080MHz with tighter timing you'd have to experiment.
    -PLL at 1.8v
    -IMC at 1.35v
    -DRAM at 1.6v
everything else as in the photo you posted.

basically, your temperature seems acceptable at the moment, so standard procedure is to up voltage one step at a time until you get stable Prime95 for at least about 8 hours.

i think i5 750 can easily to 3.8GHz, so recommended 3.6GHz for you to get started.

Please remember chimeradog - we have an edit button to avoid having messy multiposts about the place, and please remember to resize images before posting them up, no need for 2500+ sized images just of BIOS screenies. :)

Imageshack has the ability to do it as you upload them, to save time messing with image editors.

wuyanxu......i just foumd out some stupid problem with this board
when i set the core voltage to+1v,i can see the core voltage is 1.268v in the bios
but when i boot into windows cpu-z only shows it at 1.16v

i finally found out that this the problem which resulting me failing the prime95 blend test
i can use asus turboV to add the voltage and it will run fine without errors on prime 95 for 6hours

but how can set it in the bios to make run at 1.26V without using turboV to set the core voltage...
