How to unlock BT Home Hub 2.0

    i got BT home hub version 2 from ebay..
    But i didn't have any idea that it won't work with my internet provider!!!(virgin media/adsl)
    I did a small research around and nobody has cracked yet.
    Any ideas?

    well i thought that its just a hub..
    like the netgear that i have from virgin!!

    I don't think it took long for v1.0 to get cracked. So I think your best bet is to wait it out, or get yourself a v1.0 I think they came in black too.

    yeah but the newest one, does look quite swish.
    I've not seen anything about new firmware for it yet, so you'll just have to hang in there.

    your swapping a netgear adsl router for a BT one?? :duh:

    Big mistake the BT homes hubs are crap i.e. adsl service drop out and notoriously easy to hack wireless wise

    you can get ADSL as well (as stated in the first post.)

    Sell it back on ebay? Then buy pretty much any other router apart from this one! :D

    Throw it in the nearest fire.

    It's not a case of unlocking it, it's a case of disinfecting yourself. I had to move house, and buy everything all over again.

    They're awful routers, the only way to make them one notch better is to take out the crap inside it, and put something else in there, if you really love the look. Other than that, there is always an alternative. Carrier pidgeon for example.
