Due to new four legged addition to the family my WRX had to go. 3 teenagers and a dog just weren't gonna fit :(

So all the Carbon Fibre came off and I got myself a good deal on this...A MY06 Forester 2.5XT ! :)

230 bhp, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds plus leather/cruise control and heated seats :D

Plus when I get a new exhaust and remap it'll be good for 290'ish and sub 5 seconds ;)

Feels a bit grown up and I can legitmately claim that my MLC is over now I think !

Woaw nice ride! :) How does the 4x4 sound compared to your last one? That's one thing that does it for me, the growl of a scoob going down a street hehe :D

I think you made a good choice, Just looked at the 06 Impreza and.....eugh :duh:

It's basically the same engine as in the impreza :)
Turbocharged 2.5 flat four, unequal length headers so with the right exhaust it'll still have that lovely burble :D

Why not a impreza estate? Doggy in boot. Sorted.

Are you going to hit it with the lowering stick? Looks awful high unless you are actually going to use it off road.

if you wanted to go fast why buy an off road vehicle? These things are generally for blokes to buy for their thick blonde wives to take their kids to school in.

No offence to the poster ;p

Lol - decided on the forester because of the mix of space/performance/price/looks and modding potential ;)
Not a big fan on the wagons tbh and soo much more space and toys for the money with the forester..

Some pretty high kerbs and speed bumps round my way but I'll definately get some Sti springs put on at some point and change the tyres :)

Well it looks like it meets your needs, but it would be too much of a change for me going from your old one to this. Goodluck

I'm having a slight bit of trouble with the 0-60 figures, is that from the manufacturer?

0-60 in a 4x4 in 5.5 seconds, but for only 230bhp? Is it a super torquy diesel?

Sorry - my bad - I was quoting the figure with PPP which takes it to 255ps on the MY05 car. The PPP pack for the 06 car isn't out yet but should be higher - expecting around the 270ps mark..

0-62 on the stock 06 car like mine is actually 6 seconds..
