A while back I remember having a discussion about taxes in the USA and buying stuff from out of state. I mentioned that you were supposed to declare it and pay the taxes.. Some one told me I was wrong. I can't remember where it was, but... Newegg are now handing over info to states so that they can collect the taxes that people were supposed to pay but didn't. So it seems the way things are going the USA will end up either changing the law on how their internet sales thing works, or, the retailer will charge the tax up front and hand it over to the state in question.
I declared mine on my taxes regardless. I don’t want to get audited in the rare event that they decide to check. That $300 I was meant to get back from the state soon turned into owing them $12... xD
