Hi, i kinda a Noob when it comes 2 computers but i am really excited for some of the upcoming games such as Skyrim and battlefield 3. Iv been doing research on the best graphics card i should upgrade to (that is around 200-300$). But to tell you the truth i get more Confused the more people open their mouths. Originally i was planing on getting ati radeon 6950 but iv heard people say upgrading 2 that is pointless and getting ATI radeon 5850 is all i need. All i want to do is be able to playing all these games on max settings smoothly. I bagging for someone with more incite then me 2 help please! and thank you!
It depends on your monitor resolution really, but at your price point the ATI HD 6950 or nVidia GTX 560 Ti are probably the best choices.
2gb 6950 for that price... and you can overclock it and you will be able to play new games on higher settings for longer
BF3 its going to be one of the most demanding games ever made for PC, so a 6950 will suit you far better than a 5850. As above the 6950 or Nvidia 560ti are the two cards you should be looking at.
