    When I bought my i5 I noted that it didn't "do" Hyper Threading - no worries, I don't really need it. However, looking in SIW I see the following:

    <Virtual technology Supported Yes>
    <Hyper Threading Supported Yes>
    <Hyper Threading Enabled No>

    Question: Does it support HT and, if so, can it be enabled? I suspect the answer to both is no - but over to the collective wisdom of the Forum

    According to the intel site it doesn't support Hyper Threading so I would say no.

    Technically it does support hyper-threading, it's just been disabled by Intel. I think their new 'upgrade cards' idea will unlock hyper-threading amongst other things. That's if they implement the idea and if I'm right about the design process.

    I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong lol

    Honestly, if Intel is going to release an upgrade card for one of the i5 quad-core chips, it will probably be the i5 760. Due to its release date, it's more likely to support the 'feature'.
