Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable and fairly inexpensive external hard drive replacement (500GB to 1TB)?

(I am also willing to buy an external hard drive enclosure plus a hard drive that is 500GB to 1TB if the price ends up being less than an external hard drive and it is reliable)

The external backup hard drive I am replacing was a 500GB Western Digital MyBook and it probably lasted 1.5 years.

I've been looking at Seagate externals because of their 5 year warranties.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Seagate 750GB Freeagent Pro, I have had it for nearly 2 years, and I have never had a problem with it.

I've only heard the best about WD's external drives... never had one myself (using a samsung 120gb) but i know quite a few with WD's, and they never complaint about anything :)
