So I've seen this popping up all over the place.

Same spec as the Linx 7/8/10 tablets that are floating about at the moment.

    Quad core Atom
    2GB RAM
    16/32GB EMMC
    Windows 8.1 32bit + Android (dual boot)

Recon its worth a punt? I've seen them as cheap as £64.99 inc snail mail from China.

Would make a fantastic media player : D

There is this too : http://hexus.net/tech/news/systems/78721-guleek-i8-tiny-windows-81-pc-built-in-battery/

I want a device exactly like this to run some linux stuff on - the only think I would want as well is a real ethernet port. I still think the device I want doesn't exist :(

Doesn't seem that it's obviously easy to stick linux on these, I would give up the ethernet port if I knew I could run linux on it.

I need to refresh my monitoring network and running the linux remote machines on these would be absolutely perfect.

Wouldn't a Raspberry Pi do the job?

MS and Intel are *really* desperate to claw back some of the ARM/Android market share...

Nah sadly it doesn't as I can't get all the packages I need as it doesn't run an x86 kernel :(

From what I've gathered it must be powered by usb tho I can't get proper confirmation on that. If so then its only getting around 2W of power. Likely the atom is downclocked if there is memory ram and bluetooth to power.

The linux version of this is very interesting, despite the lower specs.

Sweet! Im curious to see if they would drive all the digital signage at work. Should be lightning fast with a lite distro.

I'm still amazed it functions with such a low power draw
