    Is that confirmed? I haven't seen very specific core or architecture details yet. I'd be very, very surprised if Larrabee didn't have significant double precision performance and ECC considering it was recently showing off an IEEE level HPC benchmark. Intel's expertise is in the server area, not graphics.

    The only way to increase compute density in servers is GPGPU and Nvidia and AMD are gearing up products to support this growing market. Intel would be stupid not to complement its Xeon line with a GPGPU product: to have the traditional server market and upcoming GPGPU catered for would be perfect.

    Everytime I see server guys at events they are always talking about how they are trying to either squeeze more CPUs into less space, or, squeeze a few HPC graphics cards in.
