    Intern blamed - I'd probably also blame their manager TBH.

    So this is either damning because their boot process was leaked by someone with access, or damning because their interns have access to what I assume is meant to be a closely guarded secret. With no checks to prevent this kind of copy/release incident.

    Do Apple just give access to stuff like that out willy-nilly?

    Or, do they blame an unnamed intern rather than admit any employee failing, hoping to just brush it under the carpet, in public at least.

    I've worked for a few places that have put interns in key places, predominantly as a way to push new ideas to solve old problems when the old guard can be stuck in their ways. It is hit and miss but a fresh untainted pair of eyes can be a useful tool.
