    Hi

Anyone using the iPhone OS4 Beta?

It would have been nice if the new bluetooth keyboard support worked on non apple hardware, but it seems not to. At least it won't sync with my foldable stowaway or my MS Entertainment Desktop jobbie.

    Anyone heard anything about this?

And no, I'm not about to jailbreak, although the reasons to not do it are getting fewer and fewer!

I've had no luck either. I am sure that Apple is going to restrict BT to their keyboards. It's their greedy nature. They have to be one of the greediest companies I've dealt with. They screw their customers and their developers!

I have OS 4 running on a 3G and find it SLoooooooooow. What's your experience?

Also running on a 3G, I'm in the process of downgrading to 3.1.3 again as I can't live with 4, it keeps crashing the entire phone on me. The only reason I wanted 4 was for the bluetooth keyboard with my stowaway, for those times when I want to write and don't have my lappie with me (I'm taking a year off real work to write a novel)

    Experience so far:

    - Folders are great, but they do need user set icons or at least colours.
    - Camera zoom, on the camera in my 3G? May have been useful but quality is crap on the cam anyway
    - Bluetooth - Not going to carry my apple keyboard around so again is useless for me
    - Speed - Transitions are faster between screens, but I doubt it's really any quicker
    - Stability - Terrible. I have 500+ photos in the camera. And in my limited tested (playing for 1 hr) I locked up the phone three times, each time requiring a hard reboot. I had crashes in the camera app and the photos
    - I'll wait until the 4.0 official release I think, and hopefully get the new v4 hardware to run it on.

Oh and another thing... I wish Apple would just ease back a tad with the whole "We control the vertical... we control the horizontal - don't adjust your set" style of controlling everything. I don't want them to open the flood gates (I like someone vetting my apps for me!) but the latest line of "Use only our tools" is a bit sledgehammer + nut. I can think of half a dozen alternatives to their issues which are better than what they have done. And all of my ideas are crappola... says how bad theirs is.
