will i be safe using a HCC-002 coolermaster on a Athlon XP 1900+ CPU or does it run too hot? also an alpha PAL8045 would work i know that, but its just really expensive so i was looking for an alternative

If the coolermaster is the one I'm thinking of, then it'll do the job......

The Alpha can be had for as little as $35 over in the states (I see u r in California) so you can get those a lot cheaper than us in the UK! For that kinda money you cant go wrong, certainly better than the coolermaster.

    Alpha 8045 for $35 + fan + delivery

I got my cousin to bring me one of these from this place over to the UK. Worked out to 35 quid including a fan, tax and delivery :) beats the 50 odd we'd pay normally!

    :)

Agreed. Buy the PAL8045! NewEgg.com has a nice deal on it, $35 for the fanless version and $6 for shipping. Sucks how we're both in California though, we have to pay tax for that company. :p
