I have got a PC with 512mb running a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 thats OC'd to 3ghz , not sure what the code is. it's used for web browsing, tunage, basic image editing and a bit of programming.
I'm expecting to be upgrading in Q3 to Phenom II or the I7, so should i upgrade the processor to 3.2 ghz and give it 2gb of RAM or just get the RAM?

Just the ram. The processor upgrade wouldn't be worth the money (unless you got it for some insanely small price)...

Agreed, go for the RAM only.

Are the T20 good speakers then? I've been looking at speakers myself for an upgrade, think I'll get the Logitech Z-4 myself.

yeah, the T20's are pretty great. i'm no audiophile, but they are far and away the best speakers i have ever heard, apart from ridiculous hi-fi setups.

2GB of DDR for that board must be pretty pricey, no?

logitech z-4's are nice, but i really dont need the 2.1 (got a few bass amps for my bass guitar that i x-over.). from what i have heard the T20's are really good when cranked right up.

yeah the 2GB DDR 3200, is going to set me back like $110 NZ ($US 60, or 40 pounds.), but I dont really mind.

I upgraded my old computer's DDR1 RAM with RAM from my friend's old computer. After all, 25€ for 2,5GB DDR1 ain't bad. :)

2.5 GB is pretty epic, like i said before this computer isnt used for much so 2GB seems right.

    I know, but I meant that second-hand DDR1 will be a lot cheaper. :)
