Hi all. I have a computer at work that we want to upgrade. I have checked the motherboard and corsair's website guarantees the memory supports it, but gigabyte's website says it won't work Its spec is as follows CPU: Intel celeron Duo E3400 @ 2.6Ghz MBoard: Gigabyte G31M-ES2L SSD: Kingston SV100S264G (64GB) PSU: Generic crappy 500W OS: Windows 7 64 bit ( im pretty sure if not then we will invest in 64 if memory will work) The memory i have in mind is corsair 4GB CM2X2048-6400C5DHX Any help at all would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance
99% of DDR2 will work as mobo manufacters can not possibly test every single stick of RAM and since DDR2 is a set standard it will work any mobo. just grab any decent kit DDR 800 the corsair one you listed is perfectly fine although personally id grab something cheaper http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-corsair-ddr2-memory-800-mhz-2x240-dimm-unbuffered-cl5 This is much cheaper and it will provide exactly the same perfromance
