I am long time Mac user and I am trying to broaden my horizons. (What I really want is to build my own computer):D
I am collecting ideas and components and I would defnitely use some guidance here.
Here is my top choice for motherboard. What do you think?

    MSI K7N2GM-V
    http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K7N2GM-V&class=mb

I am not a gamer. I just need PC occassionaly to run some scientific software and do things that Virtual PC will not let me... I got some crazy ideas in my head I will start throwing on you people, and I would appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks

I like the look of the msi one the board is running passivly so you only need a fan on your cpu and it has onboard video and sound... but I dont like the power connector placement... apart from that close to perfect :) (no overclocking though)

most older mobos seem to have there power connector in the middle, not to sure why tho, the good old NF-7 does, most of the newer boards have them on the edge!
with m-ATX you seem to loose all overclocking ability all for just loosing a few inches on the bottom, i startin to think if its worth it, when you can get a case like the lian li pc-50, which is fullATX but still pretty small!

webbyman, my friend, I can see it has everything but a kitchen sink. Do you think I would be able to hack it in half if I promise to use only half of its features? After all - in this forum - it is size that matters!
