Well the weather is getting better, and after a few months of planning and scrapping, and saving hard, the time has come for a new itx based computer.

Its gonna be a general use PC, internet, movies etc

    So here it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The color isn't fixed yet but its gonna be a really dark grey or Black.
The blue strips are going to be acrylic.
and the side panel and top strips are going to be mesh for air flow.
and the holes on the front will be the power and reset switch

The board inside is the zotac 8200 itx but now decide on the j&w 780G.
The strange boxes on the side panel are going to be a corsair h50 readymade watercooling kit

    The Hardware

    J&W MINIX 780G
    Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 667MHz
    Amd phenom II 905e
    Western Digital WD5000BEVT
    FSP 250Watt 1u
    Samsung SN-T083C Slot Loading
    Scythe Mini-Kaze 40mm
    Corsair H50
    Wireless 802.11 B/G/N PCIE CARD

Now just to wait for my nice big cheque that will be arriving before the end of the month

J&W do a 785G which is AM3 now - suitable for your Phenom II.

For general PC/internet/movies I would push you down the route of an X3 400-series to be honest. Cheaper and higher native clock speed, but also 65W (iirc). Otherwise get yourself a 720 Black Edn or 555 BE instead. :thumb:

Or, Zotac now does an ITX H55 motherboard. Drop in a G6950 or i3-530 and you're good to go! It even has WiFi built in, it would be perfect for you.

Im looking forward to the build :D I really love inventive ITX stuff.

I looked at the J&W 785G, but it cost about £130 were as the 780G available for £70, also having to import the 785G from Germany as i cant find it anywhere in the UK.

Thanks for the heads up on the 400 x 3 series processors, think i might go for the 405e as its half the price of the 905e :D.

I also looked at the Phenom II 555 and 700 series but the TDP is to high for the mobo to handle.

Cheers and if you have any more suggestions just give me a shout
