QFT. I'm all for indie devs being promoted and encouraged, as I personally feel that the move to multi-billion-dollar gaming companies is a huge part of what's wrong with modern games. On the other hand, I've seen very, very few indie games that actually deserve anything near the praise they get, especially considering the extortionate prices they're often released at. Will I pay €45 for Mass Effect or €35 for World of Goo? Answer: I'll buy Mass Effect at its (arguably) reasonable/typical release price, then wait for World of Goo to appear on Steam for €9.99 months later. Not a difficult choice when considering content, quality and value. I'm sure there are reasons for the pricing and the praise, but such reasons are just excuses to the ears of a paying customer.
