Challenge: "He'll see you at noon."

This required you to be looking at a web cam at 12 noon central (usa) time.

The answer was "Human Energy". I got this from the TeamXbox forums.

Reward: Joanna Dark (perfect dark game)?

Not really fair on us non-USA Colonists though, as the time is not right for us, and despite having broadband the webcam page would not load properly!

If your reading this Gamem8ker, please think about ALL the people who might particpate in Ourcolony.

Dude - it would be a pretty shitty deal for MS if they bought Rare and they *didn't* churn out a PD game tbh...

it didnt actually require that at all, it required that you went there to here the guy on the stage on the webcam say 'the answer is human energy' and then go - the dude from teamxbox was there, i think he was the only one, and as such they got the answer first, i watched that webcam from home all day, what a disapointment that challenge was. I agree that the tasks should have been stuff people from everywhere could have taken part in, but i think the deal with that one was that you were supposed to have a big colony and have someone there, working together. Would have been interesting if no-one had gone, then no-one would have got that answer.

as for the new video - is anyone kind bummed by the lack of in game footage?

Has there been any indication on how much it will cost? With what looks like an incredibly large amount of processing power, how are they gonna sell this at even close to the price of most other gaming consoles, or are they gonna adopt a loss leader approach and make the money on the games like they did with the first x-box

I have no doubt it'll be a loss leader, it's just HOW MUCH of a loss is the question. Simple economics makes it pretty much a certainty.

US vs UK pricing will be interesting, considering the exchange rate is nearer to 2 than the 1.5 is was the first time around. Meaning a "sensible" US$299 launch price would translate to a tasty GBP£165. Given those numbers, perhaps we'll see $299 / £199, though didn't the first generation debut at £299? That's US$540 people, so you can see my point...
