This year has really been a *******.
This guy was an inspiration to me when I was growing up playing Rugby.

It certainly made my coach's decision to move me (at the time 6' and 15 stone) from prop, to flanker to the wing.

What's truly shocking is how he seemed relatively healthy when he was at the World Cup.

    RIP.

Totally stunned - remember when he came to Leicester and pushed their front row around on his own , a true giant and a gent

This has just knocked the wind out of me today. It's been such a bad week with far too much sadness and tragedy. :(

    Rest in peace Jonah.

Absolutely stunning player - incredibly fast and agile for a man his size.

I remember the huge impact he had on the game - a stand out example was when Rory (or maybe Tony) Underwood went past him at full tilt on the England 10m line and Lomu stopped, reversed direction, caught and tackled him before he could score.

    Mind blown!

    Such a loss. RIP

I was lucky(?) enough to see him play England at the '99 World Cup at Twickenham.

Holy Potatoes, that was an event! Even though there were 50,000+ England fans there that day, myself included, each time he got the ball, the roars went up.

My first and last time I go to Twickenham mind you, parking was insane!
