    Hmm, decisions, decisions.

I nearly always go for the extra precision of the classic keyboard & mouse combo, but some games seem to lend themselves better to a controller.

So before I invest another 40 hours or whatever of my life into this title, what would you suggest?

Try both? Have you got a wired 360 controller?

I think keyboard and mouse works really well in JC2.

IMO accuracy will be seriously hampered using a controller, as you have to aim.

Cars can be tricky with the keyboard, but not too bad.

Hey Mars-bar-man, yes, got both, and I already tried both for the first level, but was a bit overcome by all the game options by the time I got to level 2.

I was frantically trying to find the right key/button while being shot to bits.

I think to really get a handle on the game I need to pick one and stick with it, but neither felt particularly natural.

It's funny, but this one game sticks out for some reason as being harder to control than the many others I've played.

Maybe I'm just a bit crap?!

Nah, not really. Like most things, it's patience and persistence.

As a matter of interest, what system did you use?

I use Mouse and Keybored for Just Cause 2, since it's more fast paced.

I always use a controller for GTA 4, though, since a large amount of gameplay is driving, and the auto aim works really quite well.

OK, two votes for mouse & keyboard!

    Interesting about GTA IV.

The first time I played it I used m&k all the way, but I've just started playing it again and am using the 360 controller for driving and the m&k for everything else.

Swapping over part-way through a level isn't as much of a pain as I thought it'd be.

This is more an experiment rather than a suggested game style though.

I, personally find the gameplay of JC2 more fun with the 360 controller, but some might favour the accuracy of the Mouse and Keyboard, it's a bit of a Marmite question really: Some people will prefer one way, some the other. It's up to you at the end of the day!

Flying really could use a controller in that game. as there is no support for joystick (without modding)

This game really suits the mouse, with the grappling hook and everything.

I played JC2 with the 360 controller, much nicer layout than the keyboard commands

Mouse and Keyboard. Controllers are hopeless for ALL games.
