How old is the case? Maybe check the website? Or post some pics, im sure somebody here will know what model it is lol
Also when you are posting the pic of the case rip the side off so we can see the hsf. +1 to the XMS3 ram aswell.
Looks like a variant of the PC-60, I can't remember the exact model number though. Does it matter what model it is? I use an older version of that case with my setup. If you're tight on funds, there's no point changing the case.
To me before you do anything else the PSU should be higher quality & power. GPU is weak but I'd still do Mobo/CPU/RAM first, also agree on the XMS3 over Dominator. And a clean-up if you're keeping the case
I kind of think if it's a perfectly good case, both condition and look wise then why would I need to replace it. Going to check but for around the £400 mark I should be able to get the majority of bits, then possibly save for a couple of months and find another GPU.
Ok, managed to get it down to £370, which will include: Intel Core i5-2500 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail 530W Be Quiet! Pure Power BQT L7 ATX2.3 Power Supply ASUS P8P67-M PRO Intel P67 (REV B3) Socket 1155 DDR3 PCI-Express Motherboard 4GB Corsair XMS3 (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit - CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler I'm going to (for the short-term) keep the Case (Lian-Li PC60), keep the GPU (5770) and keep the 350gb WB HDD. Anything I could swap out you think in the mean-time as I think my budget it pretty much maxed (for the time being) and it will hopefully improve my gaming experience. May even try to overclock it if I'm feeling ambitious
Don't know much about wow, but I'd imagine a new graphics card would help a lot more than the processor.
That will hopefully be my next port of call in the next month or two, but wanted to pick up the other bits now and look for a bargain decent GPU in the coming weeks.
