I started working on the chassis yesterday and made a first bit. a couple of holes needed and it will be finished... first I cut the 6mm al sheet to correct lengths. I was not sure how my low end jig saw will manage this kind of thickness so I helped it a bit simple scheme of the chassis and the part I made marked green ... and s standard process, holes for corners first than jig saw for straight cuts and file ...

yes, that was the plan, but I quickly changed my mind. It was not very practical to work with. as my wee tool room is like 6m2 ... just easier to do it this way. And I don't believe it will have any negative impact on the structural integrity of the frame...
