It looks like you could have extra room in there as well. Are you going to add any other harddrives (or something) or keep it open for airflow and watercooling? Oh, another thought: you could make the base be the reservoir for the water cooling. Then you would see this structure floating over a pool of illuminated liquid...
Thank you guys, I really appreciate your kind word... Hopefully I'll bring an update on some more progress soon
I love mini-ITX builds....pretty amazing what you can do with them, really looking forward to seeing this progress
haha I remember seing this a while back and thinking, "yeah, never gonna happen" but your actually marking it work to an a+ so far Keep it up! This one should turn out REALLY good! +rep Edit, just saw last posting date Do we see any updates soon?
Thanks guys yes p0Pe, there will be an update soon I hope , just my CNC project and some other stuff, keeping me really busy these days...
Hi guys, I'm back with a small update... basically I'm forming the outer shell just now, cutting out and putting all the bits together. It looks kind of messy atm, with all the screws and scratches and rough edges, but that will be all fixed. All the bolts and small gaps covered with body filler, sanded down, primed, painted, etc...
Wow I remember seeing this back in March I think, been waiting for a healthy update ever since Made me a happy man
Very cool concept and nice looking progress. But the update is very short on details. How were the parts cut? How did you curve the plate? What are the pieces screwed to?
Looking very good 1 more tube to go You have not mentioned paint colors yet, charcoal and gray maybe, with smoked acrylic base
Thanks! Thank you Waynio, glad you like it. I need to update more often than, to keep you so Thanks Attila, ya I was a bit lazy here, so let me explain things a bit. All parts are cut with jig saw out of 1.5 and 2 mm alu (like on first page). Back section is screwed to the main frame and from (removable) is held together, by small L shaped profiles and M3 countersunk screw (foto). I will try to cover future progress in more detail Thanks, yes 1 more (acrylic one) to go, plus som more bits and pieces . Ya I didn't mention colours yet, as I'm not 100% decided yet, but you are very close to my vision. smoked acrylic for sure and the rest some kind of grey, maybe titanium grey?, something like that. Oh ya, I will put a lot of effort in final pics and video, that is for sure. Just need to get there first Thank you. Thanks AnG3L, yeah I'm kinda back...I was waiting for you getting back to work (lame excuse ) no, I just feel a bit demotivated these days, must be the summer or something
