Hey guys, after my last build, I decided that I wanted to have a build that was a little different to other projects out there, so I decided to get a skelly So my new skelly arrived at around 20 past 11 this morning, so I've had most of the day to play with it I'll start off by saying that this is an awesome case I love the finish, build quality and overall looks of this amazing case case after first unboxing it, it looks like it's dark outside but that's just because of the flash Motherboard fitted to the removable motherboard tray This case is really easy to work with, because of things like being able to slide the part that holds all the components This is where the pump is, although it is the other way round just now, and that is just twisting of the pipe Love this button case before leak testing need some more tubing, as that tube from the rad to the cpu just fits with a little kinking filling the loop loop filled, leak tested and bled I had to bend a couple of fins on my graphics card's heatsink, I did this earlier and didn't realise, and had to bend at least five fins back into shape Skelly in her new home, sssshh she's scared There she is That's all for today, but I'm planning to: paint everything that is black, orange get some orange fluid get some uv or orange led strips either watercool my 460 or upgrade and watercool that card fit my second rad light up my res maybe upgrade my cpu and motherboard braid my psu maybe other things but I can't think just now specs: i3 540 @ stock just now, my motherboard is very annoying for overclocking msi p55a-g55 msi cyclone gtx 460 768mb xfx 650w xxx modular psu corsair xms3 1600mhz 1tb hitachi hard drive watercooling specs: EK HF supreme waterblock EK compressions EK 250mm res Hardware Labs Black Ice® GT Stealth Lite 360mm Triple Radiator Phobya DC12-260 12v pump 3x Xigmatek XLF 120mm LED Case Fans Hope you guys enjoy
***WARNING - 26 pics inbound*** So, over the last couple of days I've been working on my revised loop I finished this morning and I just uploaded the pics now, enjoy that was it for the night, as going to see Al Murray at the festival, I didn't have much time left before filling after filling and leak testing finished bleeding and decided to take more pics side panels with holes drilled to allow for the rad brackets now back in place had to put the 460 in the lower slot so I didn't have to cut the case and that's it, thanks for looking guys
!!! I've never seen an Antec Skeleton case before. I'm so bloody used to plain square box cases, I would have bought this one instantly. Are you doing any structural modifications or centering on the water cooling? What are some of your plans? Give us some teasers!
thanks thinking about painting the front fan, bitfenix fans on the ek rad, and I'm getting a fan controller which I'm gonna paint orange, I'm also probably gonna get some uv and orange led strips and also light up my res with uv leds, get some orange bitfenix extensions, and maybe more as I go along
Fine work man! Glad to see another one take on the antec skeleton. Never like that case to much myself, but with watercooling you have made it look alright I have a few suggestions: -Make a bracket for the reservoir -Keep a good eye on those EK blocks. The nickel might start to were off since the EK nickel blocks are horrible. -Make your reservoir stand vertically. It will make it way easier to bleed, and will make sure that the air dont get pulled round in the loop
You sure you dont know that puttsy guy, this has been great for views on your worklog . Thats a fine job of a skeleton case, was never a fav case of mine, but your making it look nice. White and Orange rules.
I love the colour combination and the "naked" concept how pOPe said, brackets for the res would be nice .
thanks guys I have brackets that were supposed to be 50mm brackets, but are too big for some reason, also it is quite hard to mount the res with a bracket, but keep most of it hidden
