Anyone using a KVM switch that they would recommend? I need a USB KVM for switching a wired multi-media keyboard and wireless 4 button mouse between two computers.

My current switch is intermittently not transferring the keyboard to the Windows 7 x64 pc. Both computers have their own monitors, so the video is not switched.

If each computer has it's own monitor you could use synergy, it shares the mouse and keyboard between two computers and you can move between them like two monitors on a single computer! I've used it and its very good!

synergy is good, but i liked input director better. i had some glitchy problems with synergy. either way they're both free software so worth a go.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I went with a new IOGear switch.
