Networks LAn party without the LAN...

    Currently trying to get two PCs, including my own, connected to the internet to be able to download updates.

    They're able to connect to the wireless router, and connect to servers hosted by ohter people on the network, but no internet access is availabe, any ideas?

    They have an valid IP that relates to the rest of the network, they can ccess network resources... but they cannae connect to teh internets! help!

    there is no dns set up on the computer

    how you getting your ips is there a dhcp

    if you plug them in with wires, can they see the internet? is the Wirless router set up to access the internet? can you telnet/ssh/browse to the routers config page from the PCs over the wireless?

    Router was set up to access internet, got the routers browser page on the affected computers, but it just didnt get any internet access... annoying twunt...

    Maybe a dumb question, but is NAT turned on?

    is your defult gateway set to the ip of the router?
