I Have an Acer Aspire 3690 and I screwed the battery on it, I have brought a new one and throwen the packaging away so cant refund it.

I have just found for this laptop there are 2 types of battery 11V and a 14V just my luck mine takes an 11V and I have brought the 14V, does the laptop have a voltage regulator in it, will it damage my machiene can I keep using it or is it HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED ?!?!?

    PLEASE HELP/ADVISE

The voltage regulators will propably catch damage really fast so don't use the 14V battery.
