I've been trying to figure something out for my Audio PC.

It's now going to use a gutted Vaio system as the base system

and put it into a case. One problem is that some of the cables aren't just long enough

for me to do the modding.

For ex. keyboard is too short to be put on top of the case.

What can I do to make it longer?

Assuming it is a plasticwafet thin cable:
    A)Buy and extender for one
    B) Solder lots of wires to its end pads, and use another bit of plastic cable on the other end of the wires to make a plug.

You can always buy an extension leads. There is always one for something. I got an extension lead for my monitor cable. I have seen ones for mouses, and keyboards. Try that.Only cost a few $ or £.

I will buy many extension leads for my G3 modding, PS/2 and 1394a and VGA and network adapter, etc,.

If you wanna seal them, i think it is very difficult, because some cable is very thin. Fortunate, my wife is good at sealing. :D
