Not sure if this is allowed or not, but is there anyone out there who has a Toshiba Satellite L45? To make a long story short, one of my system restore disc is scratched from the factory and caused the restore to freeze in the middle. So at the moment, my laptop is completely useless. I need a copy of Disc 2. The system is running Windows Vista Home Premium.

I called Toshiba's help line and they want to charge me to replace the defective disc they gave me!! How messed up is that?! Anyway, is anyone willing to send me a copy of disc #2? Thanks for the help!

If you can't find a copy of that disk, any retail version of Vista will be able to install the OS and then you can just use you registration code, which you own.

Absolutely, if you can get your hands on a disc from a friend (any retail version, as said above; the setup will automatically determine which version you have based on the product key) enter in your key and download your drivers. Although being a laptop I would figure that there'd be a recovery partition on the hard drive...maybe not.
