    hey,
I have a quick question. I am about to bid on a laptop lcd screen. IBM P/N:92P6661, FRU P/N 11P8354 . for 40 euros, he is willing to give me the controller which came with it for free. The thing is, i know you require a controller to operate and to get the screen working. Is there anything else I need to hook up the lcd/controller to my Desktop computer. So that i can use it as a second monitor??

I have read the faq, i just want to clear some doubts.

    thanks

Depends on how the controller hooks up to the rest of the laptop. May be through VGA, but there is a good likelihood it is through some sort of PCI setup.

Personally, I'd shop around for an old 12" TFT monitor. They are dead cheap and you won't have issues plugging it into your PC.
