ZapWizard, I've always wanted to make a system like your mediabox looks, but I just don't have the skillz I've made a launcher for playing DivX films off CD or MP3s off the hdd, and I have all the hardware I'd need, but I REALLY can't make cases, I've wasted enough cash trying already (>£50 ). Will be nice to see if you can pull it off, good luck!
NiHiLiST, if youre really desperate, just heavily mod a rackmount case. Youll be looking at like £150 for a decent 2U/3U case mind, but it closely resembles the said DIY case, although not quite as streamline and sleek.
Well, I am relatively desperate, but not £150 desperate It's a shame that my LK204-25PC is over 50mm tall, cos if it weren't it'd fit nicely into the side of one of the Maplin aluminium project boxes, and I'd be sorted. Ah well.
well, are you £25 desperate? linky despite the site lookigng very suspect, they actually do deliver it very fast... orderd one about a month ago, got it 2 dayts later, even though i payed by cheque. you get the whole choice of where stuff goes which is a bonus, but it is really qute small. hope it helps if you dont like the look of that, maplin stock 19" rackmount cases too for a little more linky But they dont come with dimensions, so you'll have to go nag at your local for them before planning. (unless your a "just wing it" type)
