Im pretty new to LCD's and am interested in getting one. First thing id like to know is which brand MO or Crystal Fonts. Ive seen the MO one with a baybus in it. I think that is really cool and sorta leanin towards it. Also, how much wouldi benefit from purchasing a keypad with it.
You need to tell us what you want to do with it. What software do you want to run on it? What OS (probably Windoze, but we don't make assumptions here....)? Graphic or character? Do you want to write software for it? MO offers you some extra features on certain models, notably integrated keypad in a drivebay insert, and general purpose outputs (GPOs) on some keypad-enabled units. I think they even have a unit that can take an AT keyboard. If you don't need those extra features, or if cost is an issue, CF may be attractive. Parallel LCDs are availabel fro even less money. Tell us what you think you want it for. Go out and look at the software for LCDs and tell us what you like. Then we can answer. But we'll probably tell you MO.
Ill be running it on windows xp. The main thing i want it for is fan control. Ive heard of one with like 8 gpo's. which one is that.
the LK204-25 PC it has a white-blue combination. Only downside is that you can't save the status of the GPO's... (told henry he should change that tho )
