Electronics LCD Software problems?

    I Have a Data Vision P135 LCD display,I just finished wiring it and hooking it up to power,
    So I got to the point where I get all the power on, like the Backlight, and the character spaces turn black, but can't get any further, I think It is because I dont have ant software to interface with it, I will get photos soon,

    Yeah, its showing the test screen. Look for software that runs HD44780 charcter displays, Im guessing 2x20 is yours. Wire it to the parallel port.

    ok, It is to the parallel port, and it is 2x24 so a HD44780 would work?
