    Hello,
I recently bought an Philips 46pfl8606k/02 LED tv. The problem is it has 2 large very symmetrical dark areas on the screen. The dark areas remain in their position even when the screen is not powered on. Therefore it cannot be a problem with the backlight. Also dead or frozen pixels cannot be the problem. I suspect the liquid-crystals are not functioning correctly, maybe because they were subjected to heat by internal components. This would explain the symmetry of the dark areas. I don’t think this is a Mura effect (dark spots/cloudiness) problem. The tv cannot be returned to the manufacturer since it hasn’t got any warranty anymore. Also this is most certainly not a software issue that can be fixed in settings. If anyone knows if and how I can fix this issue I would be very grateful for a response
