Other Lighting up acrylic question

    Hi all. I'm trying to light up some acrylic letters sandwiched between two sheets of aluminium (black). I can't put the LEDs in the edge of the acrylic due to their position. Could I light it from the back so the edges still light up uniformly. Like this pic. This is a side view.

    Yes and no, unfortunately you'll never achieve proper uniform lighting if you put the led there, but since it is only 25mm you could probably get away with it and call the result good enough if you get some 400 sandpaper and use it on the LED to improve diffusion.

    EL wire around the letters Cheesecake.

    EL tape or similar around the edge, if there's room, or just replace you acrylic for some EL panels.

    I can't use EL wire because it would be visible. I only want to see the edge of the acrylic.
