Been a pretty weird few months what with everything that has gone on - had my first cancer treatment on Friday last week and now on the tablets... every four weeks a return to the hospital but I'm staying positive! What else can you do?

Completely changed diet - no dairy (except eggs), no sugar, no alcohol, no seed oils, no fun lol! I've started morning meditations, affirmations, evening is the same. Reading remission cases where you can repair yourself (good film on Amazon - "Heal"). Because really, why not? It's that or just hope for the best right? And I have the wife and two teens that need looking after!

Anyway, with SR1's comes life insurance payments and the mortgage payments ceasing = no more debt and a nice little windfall.

Which means I want to buy the youngest a gaming pc and upgrade the eldest. Where do I buy this stuff now?

I looked at Scans website where I've bought pretty much everything else and it looks like it's entered it's own butt with the design and UI! You don't know what you're getting from Amazon and, as I've lost quite a lot of weight due to the four weeks in hospital (not the c-word), I can't really be bothered to make a new one - I can sort through the eldest with no issues although it's a bit of an oldie... Will no doubt end up putting the motherboard and gfx on here for donation to cancer research or something.

My daughter is a bit of a whizz on photoshop so that plus slime rancher 2, terreria, minecraft etc - she wants it all colourful like so LEDZZZ. Was also trying to get bang for buck so would go down the AMD route.

Thinking about looking on here for a monitor, keyboard etc.

Dexter probably needs a new motherboard as still on my old rig. That means I might frequent the market for a bit!

    Any help would be great!

I haven't used them myself but PC Specialist have some decent reviews online.
I'm sorry for your situation pal.

^ I bought my laptop from them.

It has since been too and from NZ and been upgraded in both RAM and CPU through the kindness of this forum and is still going strong.

The laptops are based on clevo base units, not sure what they base their pcs on.

I guess OCUK could be an option? No experience of them for base builds though.

Why isn't this thread receiving more responses? And not for the pc build advice bit.

Glad to hear you are staying positive. I hope the treatment don't slow you down at all but hit the big C hard.

lol don’t worry about this attention seeking whore over here lol!

I just don’t have the same attention span. Two months on opiates is a horrible thing and I’m have panic attacks at night either thinking I can’t breathe or just talking complete gibberish! That Dopesick program was what I’m trying to wean myself off. And I’m in no way near the doses the American public are dealing with.

Diazepam, morphine and 10mg of slow release oxy twice a day with fast acting 5mg every evening and more if requested was what I was contending with in hospital but I wasn’t me so anything that made the pain go away was fair game!
When I came home they gave me the Oxy slow and fast (I mean it really was fast… five minutes after two you were high and able to sleep). I’ve weaned myself off the slow acting - easy really as it was a background buzz but the fast acting has resorted to trying cold turkey then having a couple of bad days and then deciding to reduce dosage by opening up the capsules and removing half. 2.5 still gives a little hit but I’m now mainly focusing on good old Morrisons 500mg paracetamol (makes my ankles itch though). By the end of the weekend I hope to be starting the Rick Simpson oil - 1200£ for 60 days but I’m only using 2.5mg at a time so doubled the amount I have. Only issue with it is you can’t take it orally as 90%proof THC tends to give you whities!
The “other way” doesn’t get to the brain in the same way edibles do, gets absorbed straight into the blood stream and is a natural pain killer!
Only downside is your pharts tend to rip of the ganja and Dutch ovens are likely to result in very weird dreams indeed!
