    Antec True Power series

    or a Sparkle...

i use them both in fairly power hungry systems and both work flawlessly...

I have a 300watt sparkle for 2 years now and its flawless.

I have read many threads about people having trouble with vantec powersupply's. So I would stay clear from vantec

Ofcourse Antec or Enermax is good aswell.

My Hiper 520W works extremely well. Rock solid voltages at 5.02 and 12.04. I have digital panel meters connected to the 5 and 12V lines all the time and I've never seen the voltage change under load.
Its also really quiet and it has three nice clear fans :)

I have had Chieftec, Enermax and Sparkle PSUs, and the Chieftec was the worst (one that would power a P3 system yet not any AMD system higher than a Tbird 900, yet its AMD approved and 340w). The enermax was truly appaling for the price, voltage rails were all over the place. It was well made but as a PSU it was worse than some generic units I've seen in terms of power regulation :(

The Sparkle has been flawless though :) and from what I've seen and read, the Sparkle and the Antec ones are excellent :)

are known for having a particularly bad(unstable) 5v lines...and they are overpriced...

dabs.com sell both antec true powers and sparkle psus at fair prices...

aye sparkle :) or Q-tec 500W PSU's, the sparkle has pots that can be tweaked to raise or stabilise the 5V & 12V rails.

    but £25 ish for a 550W Q-tec :D
